Dreambert and the bed, two creatures of the species of most, wake up one morning without any memory of who they are, where they are or how they arrived. They are found in a strange house in an unknown city, feeling lost and confused. Just as panic begins, a peculiar man appears named Wonky, claiming to be the father. He suggests that they must be passed out while watching TV the previous night, but before he can explain more, the situation becomes even stranger. A creature named Starlow, of The Star Sprite Species arrives, insisting on the fact that it is a friend of them. He says they had planned to relax, but Dreambert and Bedsmith have no memory of her or such plans. With reluctance, they follow Stare him outside, uncertain about what surrounds them. They wander for the city, behaving as if they did not recognize the environment or Starlow. Despite their confusion, Storlow continues to interact with them as if they had been friends for a long time. While showing them around, Starlow patiently explains their alleged friendship and their names, trying to reassure them. Dreambert and the bedside table, however, remain disoriented and unable to make sense of their past or connection with Starlow. While the day continues, Storlow becomes more worried, initially thinking of pretending only to forget. But as their strange behavior persists, it begins to worry that something does not go seriously in their memories. At the end of the day, the uncertainty of Starlow deepens and she wonders if there is something more behind their forgetfulness. Dreambert and the litterie are postponed to home where they woke up for the first time, and the shaving that he claims to be their father provides them with a bed that does not feel familiar. Too tired and confused to protest, they are satisfied with the night. While falling asleep, their minds are full of questions about their identity, their past and the cause of their sudden amnesia. The mystery of their lost memories loomed unanswered as they move to a restless sleep, uncertain about what the future holds.
